Instructor Back
When you accept the position of Instructor you agree to provide service in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.
 
Responsible to: Assistant Scoutmaster- Instructor / Guide / Patrol Parent Advisor
Term of office: 6 months to 1 year
Position type: Appointed (by the Scoutmaster)
JLT Training: Yes
   
Requirements:    
  • Minimum Life Scout
  • 3 years in the troop
  •  
    Duties:
     
  • Instruct Scouting skills as needed within the troop or patrols.
  • Prepare well in advance for each teaching assignment.
  • Set a good example.
  • Enthusiastically wears the Scout uniform correctly
  • Live by the Scout Oath and Law
  • Shows Scout spirit
