Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) Back
When you accept the position of Senior Patrol Leader, you agree to provide service and leadership in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader. Need Picture

Requirements:    
  • Minimum Star Scout
  • 2 years active in the troop
    •  
    Duties:
     
  • Preside at all troop meetings, events, activities, and annual program planning conference
  • Chair the Patrol Leaders' Council
  • Name appointed boy leaders with the advise and consent of the Scoutmaster
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to other junior leaders
  • Work with the Scoutmaster and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader in training junior leaders
  • Set a good example
  • Enthusiastically wears the Scout uniform correctly
  • Live by the Scout Oath and Law
  • Shows Scout spirit
